Mark 1 is the first Iron Man armor that Tony Stark built. It was built in the cave by Stark and Yinsen and used it to escape the Ten Rings.
History[]
During Tony Stark's time in captivity, he was forced to build a much powerful version of the Jericho Missile. Instead, Stark, with the help of Yinse, builts a power suit of armor to help them escape. He builts the armor from the scrap of missile and other weapons provided for them.
In their escape, Yinsen provided Stark enough time to power up the suit, at the cost of his life. When powered up, Stark brawls his way out of the cave, using its two single shot mini missiles. The Mark 1 then destroyed the terrorists weapons stockpiles via its flamethrowers and boosters out of the scene. It then crashed on the dessert, destroying it.
In the next few days, the remains of the armor was picked up by the Ten Rings and roughly assembled it to examine its designs.
